Critical Minerals Desk | Assay and metallurgical assessment
Understand your material. Establish the next processing step.
We review existing assay and technical reports, identify testing gaps and coordinate specialist laboratory work to help assess mineral content and potential recovery routes.
Laboratory and technical work is delivered by specialist partners. AquaVolt coordinates; it does not run a laboratory or certify results.

Four ways the work helps before you commit to a plant
Start from what you already hold, and find the smallest set of work that resolves the real uncertainty.
Use existing evidence
We start with the laboratory reports and technical studies you already have.
Target further testing
We identify the work needed to resolve material uncertainties, and no more.
Reduce equipment-selection risk
Investigate recovery behaviour before committing to a plant.
Support investment decisions
Understand what the evidence supports, what is missing and what should happen next.
Assay grades alone do not establish commercial recovery or project viability.
Scope
What we review, coordinate and recommend
Scope
- Review existing assay reports, sampling context and previous studies
- Identify appropriate additional analytical, mineralogical or metallurgical testing with specialists
- Coordinate suitable laboratory partners and interpret the resulting findings with qualified input
- Recommend next technical steps and candidate processing routes for further evaluation
Client outputs
- An evidence review
- Identified gaps
- A proposed testing plan, where needed
- An explanation of results
- Recommended next steps
Testing may include, as selected for the material: multi-element assays, gold fire assay where appropriate, mineralogy and liberation work, particle-size analysis, gravity or flotation tests and leach amenability. These are examples, not a fixed package.
How it works
From sample to candidate routes
A conceptual path from sample material to interpreted findings and routes worth evaluating.
Conceptual graphic. It does not show an AquaVolt laboratory or real results.
Sample material
Start from existing samples and reports, and the context in which they were taken.
Laboratory analysis
Specialist partners carry out the selected analytical and test work.
Interpreted findings
Results are explained with qualified input, including their limits.
Candidate routes
Routes worth further evaluation are identified, with next steps.

Who this is for, and what to tell us first
Who this serves
- Mine owners and operators with existing assay or technical reports
- Project sponsors weighing processing options
- Investors who need to understand what the evidence supports
Helpful to include in a first note
- Mineral and material type, and site location
- Which reports and studies exist, and their dates
- Sampling context, if known
- The decision the work should support
- Desired timing
There is no need to attach reports to a first email. We will agree a suitable way to share documents once we are in contact.

Tell us what material you hold and what you need to decide. We will say what a desk review could cover and how documents could be shared.
